snouter, Multi-Pures are fine filters, but they only filter your tap water. This guy wanted a whole-house-filter system.
Multi-Pure does make whole-house systems, but I believe there are better values out there when it comes to those.
He paid $7,000 for a water filter system? What a dumbass. I fail to see how he was scammed, though. They didn’t say that the system wasn’t doing it’s job, and it’s not illegal to charge an outrageous price for something.
The lesson is that ignorance is expensive.
I have been using Multi-Pure brand filters for years. They use activated carbon block which is the best, most efficient method to reduce impurities. About $60 for a new filter which last a year.
